On 8th March, 2021, Monday, Miles Bronson Residential School celebrates the International Women’s Day with gaiety and splendor. At 5:30 AM, all the Junior and Senior Girl Students of MBRS assembled and by maintaining COVID Protocol, made a procession from MBRS to SOS Children’s Village, Guwahati. The rally was flagged off by Revered Founder and Principal, Dr. N. K. Dutta Sir and escorted by Assam Police from Azara Police Station and some designated Staff of MBRS. Students proceeded holding placards and banner reflecting the theme of International Women’s Day – 2021: "Choose To Change."
In the SOS Children’s Village, Revered Dr. N. K. Dutta Sir in presence of Honourable Director of SOS Children’s Village Mr. Subodh Das, Students and Staff extended his Cordial International Women’s Day Greetings to all and explained the significance of the day by referring Contribution of Woman in Different Facets of Life, Gender Equality and the importance of three colours associated with auspicious day Purple for Justice and Dignity; Green for Hope and White for Purity. Honourable Director of SOS Children’s Village Mr. Subodh Das extended heartiest best wishes of International Women’s Day to all.
This was followed by cordial assimilation and interaction of MBRS Students with the Residents. From Miles Bronson Education Society, by the Philanthropic Gesture of Honourable Secretary Mrs. Nandini Dutta Ma’am and in consonance to the philosophy of MBRS's National and International Accreditations, like Round Square; International Award for Young People (Duke of Edinburgh Award); Junior Red Cross; Indian Public Schools’ Conference and similar, Facemasks and Sanitary Pads were distributed amongst the Children.
