- The Children’s Day – 2018 has been celebrated at Miles Bronson Residential School (MBRS) with absolute Pomp and Splendor along with the Bronsonians in resonance to the auspicious Birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The day began with a special assembly where Smt. Nandini Dutta, Secretary, Miles Bronson Education Society graciously Illuminated the Ceremonial Lamp and paid Homage and Floral Tribute to the portrait of Chacha Nehru, assisted by Master Arijit Boro, Head Boy MBRS and Miss Desiree Sangma, Head Girl, MBRS. As a token of infinite love for the Bronsonians, the assembly was symbolically conducted by the teachers which extended a major charm to the celebration. Addressing the assembly, Mrs. N. Dutta extended a Warm Cordial Greetings to the entire Bronsonians and meticulously elaborated the significance of the day. She also spoke at a length beguilingly about the optimum and wise Use of Technology by Young Generation and made a clarion call that “They Should Use Technology but Technology Should Not Use Them” and also asked all to develop a habit to Read Books and to imbibe Life Skills to Shine in Life. In the same assembly some spectacular cultural performances were showcased by the teachers like Chorus, Group Dance and Self Composed Poem Recitation which received a thunderous round of applause from the entire Bronsonians. The vertex feature of the assembly was the Launch of Miles Bronson Residential School’s Alumni Management & Guidance System and on this new initiative, Dr. N. K. Dutta, Founder & Principal, MBRS extended an Audio Visual presentation and stated that, Bronsonians would be able to establish a network with the Alumni of this great Alma Mater through this program to pave the way of their illuminating career. Later, all the students enjoyed a treat of Pastry and participated in various disciplines of Fun Games categorically with full enthusiasm. In tune with celebration Student Vs Teacher Volleyball match was also organized where all the students and teachers participated with full gusto. The evening celebration was quite vibrant and colorful and the Cultural Nite was performed by many teachers in the form of solo and group presentations like Song, Dance, Drama, Mime, Playing Musical Instrument etc. by which they enthralled the audiences, making the ambiance highly joyful. In the icebreaking event, Dr. N. K. Dutta, Founder & Principal, MBRS extended greetings to all children. In his address Dr. Dutta connected the biography of Chacha Nehru with Boarding Life as Chachaji was also a product of Boarding School (Harrow School, London). Dr. Dutta stated that School Life is the best part of one’s life as only school teaches how to build Character and also teaches “Learn to Become & Learn to Learn”. In his address Dr. Dutta cordially asked all to inculcate the invaluable virtues of Truthfulness, Politeness & Honesty as these three qualities are common amongst all successful and great people of the world and these incredible qualities are more important than having a sharp brain. Dr. Dutta expressed that, for himself being with lovely Bronsonians and living in a niche of MBRS family is more than Heaven for him. The thrilling & rocking dance performances of the teachers, the versatile melodious song presentations in proper synchronization of musical beats, the heart touching and moral bearing Mime and Drama, the colorful and sparkling ambiance and most importantly the whole hearted support and appreciation clad with well-maintained disciplined crafted and turned the event into a grand success to be cherished by all.
