On 21st December, 2019, Saturday, Miles Bronson Residential School celebrated the Annual Prize Giving Day – 2019 in a befitting manner clad with utmost enthusiasm. On that auspicious day, the students who achieved ranks in various disciplines of Games & Sports, Athletics, Academics and Literary Activities like Debate, Quiz, Extempore Speech, Creative Writing and similar, were felicitated with Medals, Certificates and Trophies which were graciously given away by the Founder & Principal, Revered Dr. N. K. Dutta.
The programme commenced from 8:30 AM on that day in presence of all Students, Teaching and Non-teaching staff of MBRS. The Welcome Address was extended by Miss Anne Lipir, Head Girl, MBRS. Dr. N. K. Dutta, in his address with enhanced thought expressed a deep contentment to handover the prizes and certificates to the students. He stated that, Students’ Achievements were equivalent to His Achievements and there were some beautiful attachments associated with each of the Prizes to be handed over. Dr. Dutta in course of his speech provided an insight of a Successful Life by exemplifying the parable regarding the cybernetic power of Pigeons which can fly high and find its route from any corner of the World by overcoming all odds and challenges. He also elaborated upon the invaluable virtues to be a winner in life like Discipline, Perseverance, Hard-work, Tenacity and similar.
The celebration took its major charm with the beginning of the Prize Distribution Ceremony. At the very beginning the winners of various events of Athletics were awarded which was followed by the felicitation to the winners of Literary Activities. Eventually, those students who achieved ranks while promoting in the last Session Ending Examination 2018 – 19 were conferred with the Academic Excellence Awards. The most exciting moment for all was the Best House declaration event and out of Air, Earth, Light and Water, Best House of the Academic Year 2019-20 Prize was won by AIR HOUSE.
Miss Tina Kare, Sports Secretary extended the Vote of Thanks of the event and overall anchoring was done by Miss Riyaki C. Lyngwa, Class XI (Science) aptly.
