On 22nd February, 2019 Miles Bronson Residential School, Guwahati has won three coveted Awards in All India Level which were conferred in the recognition of the School in the category of Best Practices in Peer Leadership for Empowerment; Best practices in promoting Excellence in School, Family and Community Partnerships and Principal Leadership for Outstanding Endeavors.
Best Practices in Peer Leadership for Empowerment was awarded to MBRS as the school provides students with ample of opportunities to embrace their individualities by empowering and acknowledging their strengths. Peer leaders often get various ways of understanding each other well. The School’s affiliations to various National and International organizations like the Round Square, Indian Public School Conference (IPSC), Junior Red Cross (JRC), International Award for Young People (IAYP), etc provide a platform for every student to interact and develop as a peer leader.
The Pan India Award for Best Practices in promoting Excellence in School, Family and Community Partnerships was extended to MBRS for fostering student’s empathy and self-awareness towards their commitment and involvement in various community service programs. There is a great importance towards child’s safety. Therefore the School maintains a healthy social environment. Much emphasis is given towards maintaining a green and clean environment and the School has received many accolades like the Green School Platinum status by the Indian Green Building Council.
The Prestigious Principal Leadership for Outstanding Endeavors Award was conferred to Dr. N. K. Dutta, Founder & Principal, MBRS. This recognition was extended to Dr. Dutta for promoting teacher leadership in life skills attitude and values; Leadership in promoting Excellence in School, Family and Community Partnership; Leadership in promoting Excellence in counseling services to students and leadership in promoting health and physical well-being.
The Awards were conferred by the Expressions India which is a well recognized and awarded program by the Governmental and Non-Governmental organizations in the Country. It strives to empower and support the co-scholastic and alike elements to effectively promote child and adolescent well being in an inclusive environment for Indian Schools.
Mrs. Nandini Dutta, Secretary, Miles Bronson Education Society, received the honours on behalf of the School and the Founder & Principal, which was presented by noted TV personality Sri Rajat Sharma (Aap Ki Adalat fame) in presence of Dr. Jitendra Nagpal, Program Director, Expressions India.
