- When the Indians all over the world pay homage to the first President of the country Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan on 5th September every year, MBRS too very meticulously observed the occasion without making any compromise to the sanctity of the day which is dedicated to the teachers. Like every year this year too the children with great enthusiasm organized a day long program,.after the formal initiation in the morning assembly when the revered Principal Dr.N.K.Dutta lighted the ceremonial lamp and paid floral tribute to the great soul followed by a classical dance performed by class XI Arts students Rashmita Dey and Monisha Sarkar. Thereafter the Principal addressed the teachers with a brief but captivating speech as he made all believe their moral responsibility to build the nation. The most awaited fun games for the teachers were very entertaining, for, there were musical chair, chocolate race, balloon race, on spot singing and the most challenging saree wearing by the males! The afternoon was the session to prove skills on the playground - football for the male teachers and basketball for the female teachers. After a few hours break when the evening set in, the children offered a palatable gift that was wrapped with colourful cultural items, award ceremony and the presentations. The curtain for the day dropped down with the vote of thanks and the National Anthem. The whole programme was choreographed by the Art & Craft and Music department, anchored by the former head girl Priyanka Tahbilder, and Adjurno Marak. The award and presentation ceremony was anchored by Areef Ahmed, the Quality Assurance Manager MBRS.
