We are pleased to inform you that, Miles Bronson Residential School (MBRS) has observed 73rd Independence Day (15th August, 2019, Thursday) with full enthusiasm and splendor. The whole school congregated at sharp 8:15 AM at the Assembly Courtyard. Dr. N. K. Dutta, Founder and Principal, MBRS Unfurled the Tricolor and addressed the august gathering. In the course of his speech, Dr. Dutta Wished and Extended Greetings to the entire Miles Family and Illuminated upon freedom fighters’ sacrifices, British colonization & progress of the country especially in IT sector, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), etc. Dr. Dutta also expressed that, when the country will be totally free and eradicated from antisocial ailments like Gender Inequality, Terrorism, Violence, Sabotage, Prejudice, etc. and also when the Citizens will be Self Reliant and stop depending on foreign products by producing National Products, will bring Independence in the truest sense and that is quite possible because India has the World’s Largest Youth Population.
The celebration took its major charm when Bronsonians performed their mesmerizing Patriotic Song and Thrilling and Vibrant Nationalistic Group Dance. Students performers are as follows: Bidyasagar Ksh (Class VI); Debargha Saha (Class VII); Drill Basumatary (Class VII); Yashita Sharma (Class IX); Manan Bharadwaj (Class IX); Chintav Paul (Class IX); Deflina Rabha (Class XI Humanities); Anne Lipir (Class XI Humanities); Hiramoni Kherkatary (Class XI Science); Jazmina Ramchiary (Class XI Humanities); Kristina Basumatary (Class X) & Sneha Chakraborty (Class VIII). The escorting cadets were Rennedi Laisram (Class XI Science) & Kabya Kuntal Saikia (Class X) and the program was conducted by Desiree A. Sangma, Head Girl, MBRS and Arijit Boro, Head Boy, MBRS aptly. The vote of thanks was extended Chandrika Paul, Cultural Secretary, MBRS. In resonance to the celebration, sumptuous Festive Lunch was provided to the students which they relished and also made them watch Patriotic Movies which they enjoyed with utmost gusto.
