On 10th January, 2020, Friday, Miles Bronson Residential School (MBRS) celebrated Graduation Ceremony 2020 with absolute pomp and gaiety with utmost sanctity and in a befitting manner. The event was graced by Dr. N. K. Dutta, Founder and Principal, MBRS; Mrs. Nandini Dutta, Secretary, Miles Bronson Education Society; the Parents and Guardians of the outgoing Class XII (Commerce, Humanities & Science) students and the entire MBRS Staff.
Through the auspicious event, all the outgoing students of Class XII (Commerce, Humanities & Science) were felicitated with Certificate Scroll, Memento and Token of Love from MBRS Family. Another purposeful area of the ceremony was to extend Best Wishes to the students who are going to appear the forthcoming CBSE All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (AISSCE – 2020) and also to recognize the Students’ Excellence in various categories like Academics, Sports, Leadership, Literary Activities, Cultural Affairs and Social Service in a holistic way. In the convocation, 93 Students were honoured by the MBRS fraternity.
Dr. N. K. Dutta, Founder and Principal, MBRS in the Inaugural Address extended Congratulations and Best Wishes to all the class XII outgoing Bronsonians as well as their parents. In his enriching speech, Dr. Dutta highlighted upon Industrial Revolution which took place in 18th Century and how transformational change had taken place through Steam Engine, Electricity, Digital Revolution and 4.0 i.e. AI Robotics and Automation in amalgamation with 4C’s of 21st century learning skills which are Creativity, Collaboration, Communication and Critical Thinking. Dr. Dutta also elaborated upon new age learning advancements in 3D Technology, Medical Sciences and similar and reflected the objectives of learning which are Learning to Know; Learning to Do; Learning to Live in Community & Learning to Be. In course of his speech he also referred five points of courage which are Physical Fitness; Financial Wellbeing; Mental Strength; Emotional Control & Spiritual Power and he also added everyone must have a cherished goal to achieve success in life.
Mrs. Nandini Dutta, Secretary, Miles Bronson Education Society in her speech extended a deep contentment and hearty wishes for such a commendable all rounded metamorphosis of the students. She asked all the students to be self motivated, self disciplined and highly responsible in their new landmark of life to reach at the pinnacle of success.
During the program, Dr. Pankaj Sharma, one of the parents addressed the gathering and stated that everyone should have an effort to reach first in the race track.
The most charming episode of the program took its shape when the outgoing Bronsonians were sharing their reminiscences which was quite heart touching when the students shared their nostalgia, gratitude and gratefulness to MBRS with bounteous emotion. Miss Badum Elena Ringu (XII Humanities) and Master Enrison Laskar (XII Science) bagged the Award of Excellence in Academics and Cultural Activities respectively. In the category of Excellence in Sports, Master Akom Marlen Babla (Class XII Humanities) and Excellence in Leadership, Miss Desiree A. Sangma (Class XII Humanities) achieved the award. The category of Excellence in Social Service and Excellence in Literary Activities Awards were conferred to Miss Vanshika Sharma (Class XII Science) and Miss Sweta Rai (XII Science) respectively.
