On 27th October, 2019, Sunday, Miles Bronson Residential School (MBRS) celebrated the Auspicious Diwali with absolute pomp and splendor at School’s Football Ground. The sparking Festival of Light was inaugurated by Revered Dr. N. K. Dutta, Founder & Principal, MBRS by illuminating the Diyas (Festive Lamp) in collaboration with the members of Students Council of the ongoing session in presence of all the Students, Teaching & Non-teaching Staff and Invitees.
Dr. N. K. Dutta extended Heartiest Diwali Greetings to the entire congregation and emphasized upon the core significance of the festival by referring the Great Epic Ramayana, the victory of Lord Ramachandra over Demon King Ravan. He spoke that the mythology teaches us Chasing out Darkness and to Bring Light to our Minds i.e. Victory of Wisdom over Ignorance, Victory of Goodness over Evil Force. In parallel Dr. Dutta also made a clarion call to all the students and audiences to think over another aspect of the celebration which is the Pollution in the form of Sound, Land and Air which may make major health hazard to all. He said, that will be a True Celebration of Diwali when people would ignite their mind to observe a Pollution Free Festival of Lights and also use such Sparkles which would be generated by Renewable Resources.
Eventually Honourable Mrs. Nandini Dutta, Secretary, Miles Bronson Education Society wished the entire bonhomie a Happy and Jubilant Diwali. Mrs. N. Dutta during her speech became nostalgic and addressed the august gathering by reflecting her childhood which was quite heart touching.
The festive celebration took its major charm when vocalist Miss Tania Barua, Mr. Abhik Swer & Mr. Jibon Das along with Pancham Orchestra, all the way from Shillong, Rocked and Enthralled the Stage of the Diwali Musical Nite by their Melodious and Electrified Dance Numbers which were beat by beat tremendously enjoyed by the students & staff. The Musical Band presented a variety of songs comprising Old, Contemporary and Latest ones and could win the heart of all audiences. At the end of the Musical Nite, a Delicious and Sumptuous Ceremonial Dinner was extended for all Students, Staff, Artists and Invitees which was partaken and relished by all.
The elegantly decorated School Buildings and Boarding Houses with multicolored sparkles, the eye catching “Rangolis” crafted by students and staff with joint efforts, the Diyas, decently and colorfully attired participation of students & staff, the camaraderie to dance in a common platform, the mesmerizing Musical Nite and Amazing Canopy of Fireworks in the Sky of MBRS for near about 1 Hour made the Diwali Celebration Sanctimonious and Grand Success to be cherished by all.
